De Wit Plastic has developed a new cap that can be fully recycled. The development took place as part of a total concept: a complete bottle that can be recycled 100%, and which is suitable for packing perishable fresh products. In contrast with the frequently used PET bottle, all parts are made of bioplastic PLA, which is fully biodegradable. As a result the PLA bottle is a sustainable alternative.

Cooperation project

The bottle was realised by working together with the companies Sidaplax, Log Plastics, IML expert and DAKA. The challenge for De Wit Plastic was to make the cap of bioplastic PLA, to produce it in reproducible form and produce it round the clock. We managed to do this due to a special mould and gate. The result: a high-quality synthetic product  at the most sound cost price.
